About the event
Join us for an evening at Biidaasige Park to tour Ookwemin Minising’s Pop-Up Space and meet the designers behind this experimental pavilion. Built entirely from reused materials, the space demonstrates how material reuse can move beyond an abstract idea and become a driver for architectural design, creativity, and community.
We’ll begin with informal networking, drinks, and snacks, giving everyone a chance to meet fellow designers, architects, students, builders, and people interested in circularity and the future of the built environment. We’ll then hear directly from the designers about the process behind the pavilion—from sourcing and working with reused materials to the design decisions, challenges, and opportunities that shaped the project.
Following the presentation, we’ll open up the conversation for a discussion about the pavilion, its architecture and materials, and what projects like this can teach us about the potential of reuse in the built environment. What becomes possible when we design…
